Cedric Nicolas-Troyan

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan Raised in a small French oyster fishing village, Cedric enlisted in the French Army in his youth, but left military life for the greener pastures of pornography.  That is to say, he got his start with a brief stint as a night-shift editor, cutting pornographic films for cable television, before moving on to a freelance editorial position with French network, Canal +.  From editing, he found his way to visual effects, freelancing at various post houses in France, before relocating to Method Los Angeles in 2000.  As a leading visual effects artist and then as the Chief Creative Officer of Method, Cedric won three AICP Awards, two Clios, and was a VES nominee for his achievements in visual effects.  After several years collaborating with many talented directors, he decided to pursue his own career in directing, realizing he, too, had something to say. As a result, Cedric co-launched Psyop LA and made his directorial debut with long-time partner Laurent Ledru.  In 2009, his work won an AICP Next Integrated Award, a Cannes Lion Silver, an ADC Gold, and One Show’s Green and Gold Pencils.
